Breakfast with the Easter Bunny

We could not have asked for a nicer day at the Lakeview Lodge on Saturday, April 19 for our Annual Breakfast with the Easter Bunny. Guests were greeted by our very own Dumpster the Bear and the kids had a chance to see our baby ducks. Our guest of honor, the Easter Bunny, made her grand entrance escorted by Little Bo Peep. The morning was filled with lots of activity for the kids, a chance to sit on the Easter Bunny’s lap, and the annual egg hunt. I would like to thank the staff at the Lakeview Lodge, the Recreation committee, Dumpster the Bear, Jefferson County Guidance Center and Mimi Goodman for all their help to make this day special.

Comedy for a Cause

Treasure Lake partnered with Passages (Prevention and Service for Sexual Assault through Guidance Empowerment and Support) to help raise awareness by hosting a comedy night. Comedians Miss Gayle Barren, Auggie Cook and Tom Musial took the stage to helps raise funds for this worthy cause.

Kentucky Derby

Our 3rd annual Kentucky Derby party was held at Duffers Tavern on Saturday, May 3rd and as you can tell by the picture everyone was sporting their Derby look. Mimi and her staff had fun with trivia, a prize for the best hat and a chance to guess which horse would win..

Diamond Project Band

Once again, the Diamond Project Band played to a sold out crowd! What made it even more special was the lead singer moving through the crowd and inviting people to sing along. The only thing that may have been better than the band was the prime rib dinner special.

Special Events

Kids Carnival and Arts and Crafts Fair

The weather didn’t cooperate but the turn out for this year Kids Carnival and Arts and Crafts Fair was the best to date, with over 300 people enjoying the event! With the bounce house, trackless train, petting zoo, pony rides and a visit from our own Dumpster the Bear, everyone had a great time! For the adults, many crafters were available as well as our food vendors. Not sure which was a bigger hit the kettle corn or the funnel cakes.

Summer Kick Off

The pools and beaches were in full swing over the Memorial Day weekend, with the Lakeview Lodge pool seeing over 500 visitors per day. Treasure Lake provided several events for the Memorial weekend including a putting contest at each golf course along with free freeze pops and $1.00 hot dogs. However, Sunday was a day to honor and remember those who served this country both past and present. A Sunday service was held at Caymen followed by Military Color Guard, the Raising of the Flag, and our special guest speaker, Mr. Chuck Huddy, who has served this country in both war and peace.
