Story Time with Mrs. Claus

On December 11th at the Lakeview Lodge, Mrs. Claus and her favorite elf, Jingle, arrived to read stories to an audience of 25 children, parents and grandparents. Children were greeted and given cookies and milk while parents enjoyed coffee. Mrs. Claus and Jingle told stories of the North Pole, Santa, the elves, and Jingle even showed the kids how to do an Elfie. As the children left, Mrs. Clause and Jingle reminded all the children to make sure they get their letters to Santa and not to forget to leave the cookies and milk out.

Christmas Family Shop Night

The Christmas Family Shop Night was a heartwarming success as several children were able to buy gifts for their loved ones for a dollar a gift, and even had a chance to see Santa.

The Recreation Department would like to thank all those who helped make this event a success by either donating, or participating in this event. With the monies raised from the event, gifts were purchased for children from Clearfield County CYFS.

Winterfest 2015

This year the weather cooperated and everyone just had a great time. We kicked off our 2nd annual Polar Plunge with the YMCA and 21 brave souls took the dive as the crowd applauded. Next, it was up to the sledding hill at the Ski Lodge where 38 participants showed up with their best designs and fastest sleds. After the event some decided to stay and sled while others worked their way into the Ski Lodge for crafts, karaoke and the chili contest.

Christmas Tea

A lovely time was had by all as guests enjoyed finger sandwiches, scones and an assortment of teas. The DuBois Diplomats were charming as always as they

wove stories into the Christmas songs. Everyone left

with the spirit of the holiday.

Ugly Sweater Contest

The Pirates Cove bar hosted an ugly sweater contest

on December 19th and it was great to see various age groups getting into the Christmas Spirit. The winners

wearing their ugly sweaters can be found on the

Treasure Lake Facebook page.

Home for the Holidays Decorating Contest

For the first time, Treasure Lake hosted a "Home for

the Holidays Decorating" contest. We were so happy

to see many residents competing in several different

categories. All the homes were just beautiful and certainly made the judging difficult. The winners

and photos of their homes can be found on the

Treasure Lake Facebook page.

Breakfast with Santa

What a wonderful turnout for “Breakfast with Santa!” Over 150 parents, children and grandparents enjoyed

a breakfast of eggs, bacon, sausage, coffee, and juice. There were crafts for the kids, coloring pages and crayons and of course Santa himself greeting all the guests before going to his Santa chair.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this such a great event!
