In The Rough

Joe Beatty, Golf Course Director

Now in the deep of winter we can only anticipate the pleasures of touring our magnificent golf courses this coming spring. The images of the green grass, sunny skies, and the flight of our golf ball flying down the middle of the fairway, heighten the visual pleasures of playing golf at Treasure Lake. This coming season presents endless opportunities to renew friendly rivalries, and create new friendships through the game of golf. Take these opportunities to invite new golfers to experience Treasure Lake Golf Courses. Remember “the more the merrier” makes Treasure Lake the place to be for golf. As you drive around Treasure Lake you’ll probably notice

some more changes around the Gold Course. Doug Adams and his team continue on the tree project started in 2013. Around the greens on holes 1 and 10, trees have been removed to allow more air and sunlight to reach these greens creating a better environment for a healthy product. Great strides in golf course condition have been the result of the tree project of 2013 according to the USGA. So I think we can all look forward to improved conditions and even better green surfaces in the coming year.
