How do you support the incubatees at the
What stage of the process?
As service designers we can support the
incubatees in the creation of their offering, in
developing a proposition and to make sense
of the ideas that they might have. We try to
give them structure using design tools.
We use several different tools; we use maps
to help incubatees clarify visually what the
offering is- what will they actually offer to
different target groups, and to their main
stakeholder. We use customer journeys to
understand the experience of different users
and stakeholders. We draw out maps of
different stakeholders and the various
relationships that exist between them. We also
use tools that look at self-assessment of social
impact criteria and the sustainability of the
solution. We have developed a couple of tools
