The Fuzz Factory 7 is a newer , limited edition iteration of the FF that picks up where the previous update to the design , the Fat Fuzz Factory , leaves off . It is designed around two 1956 Amperex black glass germanium
transistors , highlighted by LED s behind a tiny Lexan window on the pedal ’ s face . At its heart is a nine-position rotary switch ( is it just me , or is the layout also reminiscent of a rotary phone ?). The tone gets chunkier when the switch is turned left , and thinner and more cutting when turned right , which also affects the behavior and sound of the oscillation . This added control opens up a new world of Fuzz Factory madness , and the gigantic low end makes it very bass-friendly . It is a superb update to this classic fuzz .
