H a v i n g b e e n a p ro f e s s i o n a l
technician since 1999,
I decided to build my own pedals in
m y e l e c t ro n i c re p a i r l a b .
I always had a passion for vintage
gear and how original equipment
sounds, so I began to build pedals
as near as possible as the originals,
u s i n g t h e o l d - s t y l e e l e c t ro n i c
components, and building my
v i n t a g e s t y l e e n c l o s u re s a s w e l l .
Also, I try every day to identify
myself as a builder of the
‘60s–‘70s, trying to answer to
these simple questions: “What
c o m p o n e n t s w e re a v a i l a b l e a t t h e
t i m e ? ” “ W h a t w e re t h e m e a s u r i n g
instruments they used?” “How did
t h e c i rc u i t s w o r k ? ”
I wanted to build a fuzz with new
old stock components that was
re l i a b l e a n d d a m n b e a u t i f u l , i n a
c u s t o m e n c l o s u re t h a t w a s n ’t l i k e
t h e c o m m e rc i a l b o x e s , a n d n o t a s
m a s s i v e a s v i n t a g e o n e s w e re !
