STEP 1:
Mount the LEDs, the footswitches and
all jacks into the enclosure. Use the
saved leads to join lugs 2 and 9 on
both switches, soldering both “2” lugs
but leaving “9” unsoldered. Attach the
negative (shorter) legs of the LEDs to lug
1 on both switches.
STEP 2:
Curl the resistor legs around the positive
LED legs, then wire both resistors
together, braiding a third wire between
them. Thread the wire’s other end
through BOTH positive lugs on the DC
jack, and solder just one of the two. You
may need to place an insulator (such as
electrical tape) between the resistors and
the enclosure to avoid shorts.
STEP 3:
This is where we ground the whole
shebang. In any order you wish,
make sure the following items are all
connected, leaving the last connection
unsoldered: Lugs 2 and 6 on both
switches, sleeve lugs on both input
and output jacks, and the negative lug
on the DC jack.
