Well, there we have it. As previously mentioned, any regular follower of Pro Guitar Shop’s demos could probably have guessed at least a few of the albums that would make an appearance in Andy’s Top Ten. Watch any five of his videos at random and you’re likely to hear a musical quote from a record on this list, or maybe even a whole song. When Andy Martin picks up a guitar, these albums practically ooze out from his fingertips onto the fretboard. If there is a lesson to be gleaned from Andy’s insightful words and crucial album selections, it is probably something like, “Don’t neglect the classics. And if you want to grow up to be a great rock-n-roll guitar player, you better learn to play along with live albums.” With that in mind, I urge you to strap on your guitar right now, crank up the hi-fi, and hit the woodshed.
