all-purpose dirt machine that gives you
everything from light sparkle to amp-
melting fuzz. Apart from Tone and Level
controls, the Gain switch contains a huge
range across two different switch positions,
which let you tailor the right amount of
grit to your rig. A three-way fuzz switch
provides additional flavors of fuzz.

Xotic’s Soul Driven gives you a rich and
buttery low-to-medium gain overdrive
that contains an onboard mid boost that
lets you claw your way to the top of the
mix. The creamy gain is perfect for lead
players, but an internal bass boost switch
beefs things up at the 125Hz band,
giving the low end a kick in the pants and
opening the pedal up to rhythm players.

The aptly named Fuzz Fiend derives its
wide palette from a single 12AX7 tube
riding shotgun. Aside from its expansive
Fuzz control, the Fiend also offers up a
full three-band EQ to force the fiend to
sound just like you like it. The star of the
Fiend is the unique Rage switch, which
sends the fuzz spiraling out of control into
endless sustain and oscillation territory.
