Language is something that connects us and binds us together . Outside of our own country ’ s official language , there are many dialects , sub-dialects , and sayings that exist only within certain geographical areas . Just like how Boston and South London have two completely different forms of English , so too do persons of different interest groups have varying “ versions ” of the same language , which I have personally seen many times transcend traditional international language barriers . I spoke about this at length in Part I of this feature , ( see Tone Report Weekly Issue 162 ), and tried to detail a few of the words that make up our own language of tone that you may or may not have heard of . Today , I ’ m jumping right back into our unwritten dictionary headfirst to dig up the words found in all areas of the guitar world , from the dusty corners of old guitar shops to the marketing copy of the biggest and best new gear . I would like to invite you to come see some old familiar faces , and a few new ones in our journey into the wild verbal jungle .
