Looking for a different place to ride ? Someplace you haven ’ t ridden before ? Well , come on over to northeast Oklahoma where the roads are curvy and the trees , lakes , and creeks are abundant . Welcome to Lakes Area ABATE ’ s backyard . There ’ s always something kickin ’ in and around the area . If all you ’ re looking for is a nice ride , then take Hwy 82 from Salina to Spavinaw , curvy and winding . The dogwoods and redbud trees are in full bloom …. And don ’ t forget to stop at Spavinaw Park for a visit with Best Day and Pam , his better half . It ’ s a great place to just rest your bums before your journey continues . Next stop is just up the road to Copperhead Rally Grounds where the beer is always cold and you might just run into a jam session of some of the locals going on . A great place to just sit back and smile . Might also be a great time to check out the camping facilities for the Spring Rally that ’ s coming up soon the first weekend of June . Travis and Kamicha put together a really fun time to be enjoyed by all , music , bike games , sled drags , and plenty of cold beverages . They have RV hookups or primitive camping , the choice is yours ….. but don ’ t wait too long to reserve your spot !! At this point , get out your GPS and dial in Road Hawgs up around the Grove area . It ’ s a quaint lil place out in the middle of nowhere but boy do they have good food …. and cold beverages .
