Hot Springs to Mena, AR.
On this da y, Guy and his
wife Wanda will ride the same
route his parents rode 65 years
ago on the rebuilt bikes. They
will be joined by Guy’s nephew
and anyone else who would like
to join this amazing historical
ride. They’ll be covering as close
to the same route as they have
been able to trace according
to the letter his mother had
sent back home (see article
– Motorcyclists’ Honeymoon)
following the original honeymoon
trip. However, they’ll be riding
the route the opposite way Mary
and Charles rode it as they want
to pay tribute to Indian by riding
through Indian dealerships.
They encourage anyone who’d
like to follow their journey to join
them, but they ask that you make
your own accommodations
and realize that their 1949 and
1951 Indians will only travel at a
maximum of about 40 mph.
