A TALE OF "OWNED"

The band that started it's journey in 2007, finally after a long wait releasing their First Full Length Album This Year.

How would you introduce, or define the band to someone completely new to the scene?

Well, those of you who've listened to us for quite a while and still do, you guys know that our sound has evolved throughout the years. The songs in our album don't sound anything like our previous singles. Our album is basically a rock album where we ended up venturing into its various sub-genres. See, the members of the band are generally into grunge - Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden and we love Foo Fighters and Radiohead too, but we didn't set ourselves a goal to make our album sound anything like theirs.

Whatever we made just came naturally. Throughout the 2 years through which our recording period spanned, the band went through various musical "phases", like we recorded Biyog when Fasih and I were going through a major APC (A Perfect Circle) phase. All we would listen to was APC! Now obviously the song doesn't sound like an APC track, that wasn't intended, but you can clearly see the influence there in the drumming and guitar work. This may or may not be major news to people, but the album contains an electronic song which I think is probably one of the first attempts by a band in this country. That happened during a time when Ratul and I listened to a lot of electronic stuff. So you get the pattern.
