Let’s take a look at the
connectivity options for
example. This is one of less than
a handful of motherboards that
pack four rear IO accessible
USB 3.1 ports. Two of which are
the much vaunted Type-C and
of course Type-A. Four more
are traditional USB 3.0 and
two USB 2.0 ports dedicated
for the USB flashback function
and Keybot feature which I’m
not sure anybody ever uses.
This is but a small example
of the lengths with which the
ROG engineers have gone to
ensure future compatibility. It
isn’t isolated to that however as
there’s Thunderbolt support as
well, but as usual this is via an
internal header on the board.
How many will come to use
this again is questionable but
given that everything and the
kitchen sink has been added to
this board it would be odd to not
