There are several faster sets both from within CORSAIR and competing vendors, but those sets are these kits are comprised entirely of 4GiB modules as opposed to the 22 The OverClocker Issue 37 | 2016 8GiB DIMMs this set uses. As such, this really is the fastest 32GiB kit money can buy and given the low selling price, one has reason to be excited. Since we’ve covered Vengeance LPX modules in the past, there’s no need to delve into the aesthetic elements. There simply isn’t much to say. If that kind of thing matters to you, then perhaps you should consider the Dominator Platinum series of memory which have a distinct and striking design ethos. With the LPX range, we are purely concerned with performance and capacity of course. This very set manages to provide both at an incredible price, but the real fun is in just how well these modules overclock or rather how flexible they are for performance tuning. Right of the bat it should be noted as usual that memory, especially high speed memory from 3000MHz onwards, will behave differently depending on the CPU and motherboard it is paired with. It isn’t the case that all memory will function as expected with all CPUs. One had this very experience while reviewing this kit. The CPU of choice suffered an untimely demise and that particular CPU had a fairly competent memory controller that was head and shoulders above the L547B840 replacement. Moreover, this replacement CPU was exceptionally inferior failing to reach 3,466MHZ on a 3000MHZ
