RPAYC excels in the annual Interclub Series

But the big movers of the regatta and the ones to watch in the future was the Alfred’s
Intermediate Youth Development Team (IYD) helmed by Nick Anderson. The IYD
team improved throughout the series starting off with a 4th place at the CYCA stage,
a 3rd at the RSYS stage and finishing off with a 2nd place at the final stage. Nick

The Interclub Challenge consists of three race days held at Royal Sydney Yacht
Squadron, the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia & Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club. This
year we welcomed Newcastle Yacht Club to join in on the series. Newcastle recently
purchased the Alfred’s previous fleet of training vessels (6 X Force 24s), and have
been putting them to good use.
