Saturday , April 8 , at The Delta Blues Winery , 6585 Stewart Road in Lakeland , Tennessee .
The 5K race will begin at 10:00 am on Saturday , April 8 . All ages are welcome . Entry fee is $ 25 prior to April 8 ($ 35 after this date ). Ready . Set . Grow ! is a 5K event that will help to raise awareness about Keep Tennessee Beautiful , and its efforts to educate and rally Tennesseans on litter prevention , recycling , and beautification in their communities . All proceeds from this event will go to the University of Memphis / KTnB Foundation which will go towards scholarships for students planning to study in the environmental conservation field and to community environmental education grants .
Registration and race packet pick-up will begin at 8:00 am the day of the race . Race will begin at 10:00 am , and there will be a post-race celebration .
A Taste of Arlington
Sunday , April 9 , 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm , Arlington High School Rotunda ; sponsored by the Arlington Chamber of Commerce . Sample food from area restaurants ; a silent auction will be held to benefit the Arlington Chapter of the Association for the Preservation of Tennessee Antiquities . Tickets are $ 15 / adults ; $ 5 children 5-12 before April 1 ; $ 20 adults ; $ 5 children after April 1 . More information at arlingtontnchamber . com .
Arlington in April Arts & Crafts Festival
Saturday , April 28 10:00 am – 4:00 pm , Arlington Historic Depot
Square . FREE Admission . Rain Date : Sunday April 30th 2017 12pm-5pm . Spend a day in Depot Square where vendors from around the Mid- South will display and sell many handmade crafts and boutique items . The Arlington Chapter of the APTA will have its historic sites ( Rachel H . K . Burrow Museum , Blacksmith Shop , Historic Post Office , Harrell Farm Log Cabin ) open during Arlington in April , April 29 , 10am-4pm at Historic Depot Square . There will be new exhibits at the sites , including the feature “ Gadgets ” exhibit at the Museum and a hands-on 1800s outdoor exhibit by the Log Cabin and Historic Post Office . Come and enjoy Arlington history .
