Lakeland residents got a first look at renderings for the new Lakeland Middle School at a public unveiling on
December 7 at the Lakeland Board of Education meeting. According to the Lakeland School System, the building
will accommodate up to 900 students in grades 5-8 and is currently projected to open in August, 2018.
Design work for the building, which will be located on the north side of Highway 70 at the intersection of Old
Brownsville and Canada Roads, is being completed by two Lakeland firms: A2H and Renaissance Group.
