Athletic Department

With Winter sports wrapping up here is an update on how their seasons have gone so far:

Girls Basketball: 11-8 on the season with wins over conference opponents Fulton, Hannibal, Kirksville, Mexico and a 3rd place finish at the Warrenton Tournament. The Lady Spartans leading scorer and rebounder is Sydney Flood.

Boys Basketball: 10-8 on the season with wins over conference opponents Boonville, Hannibal, Marshall, Mexico and a 3rd place in the Macon Tournament. The Spartans leading scorer is Savion Thorpe and leading rebounder is Rohokist Amadou.

The Lady Spartan and Spartan basketball teams finish the season with games at home versus Boonville (2/14), Mexico (2/17), Marshall (2/23) and with one road game at Fulton on 2/20 (G) and 2/21 (B). District play will begin on Saturday, February 25th at Grain Valley High School.

Wrestling:

Finished the season with a 21-5 dual record with wins over conference opponents Boonville, Fulton, Hannibal, Kirksville, Marshall and Mexico. The Spartan wresters finished 2nd at Westminster, 1st at Berkeley, 1st at the Spartan Duals, 3rd at Cameron and 4th at St. Joe Benton. The Spartans were led by Deshaun Smith and Kyler Guthrie with 32 wins each. The District Tournament took place this past weekend at St. Charles West High School and the State Tournament will begin on Thursday and conclude on Saturday.
