The YLS is continuing its assistance with the development of a state-wide mentorship program. In addition, the YLS is partnering with the Great Plains Food Bank to host “Feed Your Community,” a state-wide food and fund drive from March 31 through April 4, 2014. We are graciously seeking various law offices in Williston, Dickinson, Bismarck, Minot, The Gavel Winter 2014 Fargo, and Grand Forks to host a food bin and collectively donate food and funds, with all donated food staying within the community in which it was donated. More information about this event can be found in this edition of The Gavel. The YLS’s Education and Professionalism Committee will be hosting webinars this winter and spring. Young lawyers - and other licensed lawyers - will be invited to participate in the webinars. Please be on the lookout for upcoming webinars about the following topics: probate, mediation, and trademark issues. Please contact Jim Hoy, YLS PresidentElect, at [email protected] to recommend young lawyers for a future showcase or to get involved in the upcoming statewide food drive. 21
