YOUNG LAWYERS SHOWCASE CASEY KOSTELECKY is an attorney at the Mackoff Kellogg Law Firm in Dickinson. Her practice areas include creditor rights and collections, business formations, family law, oil and gas, real estate and estate planning. Casey grew up in Dickinson, where she has volunteered for the Special Olympics. She attended the University of North Dakota earning a degree in psychology and criminal justice. She graduated from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School of Grand Rapids, Michigan, where she was active in several organizations. Currently, Casey is a member of both the Family Law  and the Young Lawyers sections of the State Bar Association.  She is licensed in North Dakota and South Dakota and plans to be licensed in Montana this summer. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, spending time at her family’s cabin on Lake Sakakawea, watching UND Hockey, playing with her pug, Rocky, and coaching gymnastics. The North Dakota Young Lawyers Section’s Education and Professionalism Committee will be hosting a webinar on May 21 on the issue of depositions. The webinar will be presented by Lawrence King, from Zuger Kirmis & Smith of Bismarck. Topics and presenters for upcoming months are yet to be determined, but young lawyers – and other licensed attorneys – will be invited to participate in future webinars. The YLS Community Service Committee is in the process of planning community service events in Bismarck, Fargo, and Minot for the coming months. Watch for further information regarding specific events, as all attorneys, both young and experienced, are welcome to participate.
