The Spellery Vol 5 July 2015 - Page 34

We especially love selling anything from our own line of spells and charms that we make together here in the shop- spell kits, mojo bags, loose incenses, room and body sprays, our new spell candles, and our custom magickal services. It's a chance to throw up circle, gather the oils, herbs, incense, candles, and crystals, call the corners, and raise some great energy while we craft. We always feel wonderful afterwards and our customers love it!

Q. Do you sell online as well?

A. Yes, we do sell online! We have a Square market that anyone can access through both

our Facebook page and our website. Our website can be accessed at www.thepointedhat.org

This is where you can learn all about our temple and shop- who we are and what we do and have, our vision, and information about paganism, Wicca, and Witchcraft. You can access our event calendar, Facebook page, and Twitter. You can also book appointments and RSVP to events!

Q.What ispires you as business owners and witches, what type of hobbies do you enjoy?

A. Charles: I absolutely love history and mythology, science fiction and fantasy, writing, going for walks in nature, and many, many other varied activities and hobbies. I am a wanderlust, always seeking new and old places and things to explore and discover. I enjoy my alone time, meditating and reflecting, and relaxing with my movie obsession and books, but I also savor having a crazy good time with loved ones and friends.

Carol: I have loved reading since childhood and am usually in between several books at once. I like to read for pleasure and for research, especially mythology, history, science fiction and fantasy, and spiritual and mystical things. I love traveling, discovering new things and other cultures, meeting new people and going out, watching movies and my favorite TV shows, and cooking and baking new and different things. Among my biggest passions are fashion, art, and music (I actually have a fashion marketing and visual merchandising degree from an art college

and my own personal styling service). I also love crafts thanks to my mother and a huge Pinterest obsession!

Q. What advice would you give to those who want to start a business?

A. We would say first don't be afraid to ask for the help you need. Don't model your business exactly how someone else is doing it, just let it inspire you. Look for inspiration in non-traditional places, business or otherwise. And above all, follow your heart and your intuition!Patience, patience, patience!

Add a pinch of hope and support from loved ones!
