THE SPIRIT
We started when we were just amoebas. At that time our seeking was only for food. Then it grew up within us as we grew up. At the human level, we have a seeking for food, of course. We have a seeking for possessions and money. We have a seeking for power. And also we have a seeking for God. This starts manifesting in the human being alone. This seeking for God starts when a person starts realizing that there must be something beyond. There must be something which is fulfilling, something that is really satisfying. He starts finding that absolute point where there is no disgust, where there is no frustration or disappointment. And such a point resides within us in our heart as the spirit. This spirit in the heart is the witness, who looks after us. But we are not conscious of it.
