How / why did you get into the system ?
I was looking for spending money when I was in college . I was given a franchise fee by Jim Disbrow and Scott Lowery to open my first franchise unit .
What is your favorite thing about the brand ?
There has always been a feeling of family , as well as the fun and casual nature of the brand .
What do you look forward to accomplishing while serving on the board ?
I look forward to gaining insight from other franchisees and passing it along through the franchise system and helping the smaller franchise groups by obtaining best practices from other FBS members . I also want to be a voice for the smaller groups that don ’ t have the infrastructure that the larger groups have .
In your opinion , what is the biggest challenge currently facing franchisees ?
There are a number of challenges facing franchisees : talent acquisition and management ; litigation from trial attorneys ; and administrative costs associated with regulation .
In your opinion , what is the most valuable benefit franchisees receive as members of FBS ?
Access to the hundreds of years of combined experience and insight the membership has to offer .
What are three things people would be surprised to learn about you ? 1 . When I started with the company at the Vine Street store in Cincinnati , there were four locations . 2 . I was the general manager for the original BW-3 location . 3 . I helped open dozens of the original franchise locations . S
