Diversified Restaurant Holdings Fundraises for BackStoppers
Tragedy struck Oct . 6 , when a four-year veteran St . Louis
County police officer , Blake Snyder , was gunned down in the line of duty . Snyder was survived by wife Elizabeth and 2-year-old son Malachi , and Buffalo Wild Wings ® restaurants throughout the region wanted to lend a helping hand to the family .
On Oct . 14 , a Diversified Restaurant Holdings Inc .’ s B-Dubs ® location in St . Louis held a fundraiser for the fallen officer . Local radio station 102.5 KEZK kicked off the event and broadcast live from the restaurant from 6 a . m . -6 p . m . Ten percent of the proceeds from the day were donated to Back- Stoppers , an organization that provides financial assistance and support to the spouses and dependent children of injured or fallen first responders . The event raised $ 1,319 for the organization , and included a special appearance from Louie of the National Hockey League ’ s St . Louis Blues .
On Oct . 26 , a second fundraiser was held and included 17 BWW ® restaurants . Participating locations included Belleville , Edwardsville and O ’ Fallon , Illinois ; and Ballwin , Brentwood , Chesterfield , Columbia , Creve Coeur , Fenton , Jefferson City , Kirkwood , Lake Ozark , O ’ Fallon , Rolla , St . Charles , St . Peters and Wentzville , Missouri .

On Oct . 1 ´´ 4 , Louie from the St . Louis Blues made a special appearance at the fundraiser , which generated $ 1,319 for BackStoppers .
The 17 Buffalo Wild Wings locations raised $ 7,132 for a total of $ 8,451 donated to BackStoppers . Both fundraisers were marketed through the partnering radio station , by word-ofmouth and through in-restaurant promotions .
