JK&T Wings Raises $8,000 in
Honor of Lacey’s Legacy
K&T Wings, Inc.’s East Lansing, Michigan, location hosted
its second annual Lacey Day Wednesday, March 4, to benefit
Princess Lacey’s Legacy. The event included a craft table, face
painting, a photo booth, and raffles for signed sports memorabilia from Michigan State University’s basketball coach, Tom
Izzo and football coach, Mark Dantonio. In addition to the 20
percent donation of the day’s sales, Buffalo Wild Wings® sold
wristbands and raffle tickets. More than 500 guests attended the
fundraiser, raising $8,000 to support the cause!
Princess Lacey’s Legacy was created in late April 2014 after
parents of 8-year-old Lacey Holsworth laid their daughter to
rest following her battle with cancer. Lacey was just 6 years old
when she was diagnosed with Stage IV neuroblastoma.
Holsworth’s passion was dancing and even though cancer
made doing what she loved more difficult, she was given the
opportunity to continue dancing through special private lessons
customized for her. After seeing the joy and hope these activities brought to their daughter, Princess Lacey’s Legacy was
created by her parents to aid in the cost of alternative therapy
options and nonconventional equipment needed to help other
children with cancer pursue their own passion.
The funds help children enhance their standard therapy
sessions by providing activities such as lessons in dance, horseback riding, music, arts or sports—whatever they enjoy doing.

Guests of all ages came
out to Buffalo Wild
Wings® in Lansing,
Michigan, to support
the second annual
Lacey Day.
Lacey’s father, Matt, said the foundation will start by supporting
children in Lansing-area hospitals and will expand to others in
the state, if possible.
“Buffalo Wild Wings® is committed to helping local
communities and their causes in times of need,”said Kent Ward,
owner and operator of JK&T Wings, Inc. The restaurant first got
involved with the foundation last year when it hosted a Pray for
Lacey fundraiser to provide financial assistance to the family for
their medical expenses. S
