uring the 2014 FBS Business Summit in Las Vegas,
FBS members elected a new board of directors tasked
with carrying out the direction and mission of the
association. Each of these 10 individuals brings a unique
perspective of the brand and its future, as well as a wealth of
business knowledge and ideas of ways to continue to improve
the organization. Take a moment to get to know a little about
the leaders of your association:
WRAY HUTCHINSON, Chairman
Title: President
Company: World
Wide Wings
Number of Units: 25
Year entered the
system: 2005
How/why did you get into the system?
I resigned from KinderCare Learning
Centers and was seeking an entrepreneurial opportunity in casual dining.
I had visited a Buffalo Wild Wings® 10
years earlier and when I revisited in 2005,
I knew I found a brand with tremendous
upside that was still early in its evolution.

THE
SCORE
10
What is your favorite thing about the
brand? The combined energy of our
guests and team members. It’s a place
where you go to have fun and watching
that energy is very gratifying.
What do you look forward to accomplishing while serving on the board?
I hope to add my experiences to others
in the system. Together we can build
processes, systems and routines that will
yield greater results for the franchise
system and the brand. We are a very
fragmented franchise system and I want
to help the smaller franchise groups the
way others helped us when we were
getting started.
In your opinion, what is the biggest
challenge currently facing franchisees?
The continued pressure on our labor costs
with federal, state and city initiatives.
In your opinion, what is the most
valuable benefit franchisees receive
as a member of FBS? Drawing on the
collective wisdom of the system and to
be able to utilize the purchasing and
negotiating leverage of the system.
What are three things people would be
surprised to learn about you? People
are typically surprised when they learn
of my 13 years with KinderCare prior to
joining BWW. I usually have to connect
the dots for people to explain how I
moved from that industry into BWW;
I’ve seen the Rolling Stones in concert
more than 20 times; I want to be Bobby
Pancake when I grow up.
