To celebrate the occasion, the Jones Group held a Wing Ding Dash 5K in Michigan City, Indiana. All proceeds went to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. The afternoon included a live acoustic show and each race participant 21 years of age and older received free wings and a Miller Lite after the race. In its first year, the fundraising effort was considered a success with more than 170 runners who generated more than $2,000 for the three-hour event.
