netball makes a comeback! update from
stewarton woodlands
action trust
When was the last time you played
netball? Fond memories from
primary or secondary school? Or
maybe you played for a bit longer
but would now love to play again?
Well you can! Join Stewarton
Ladies Netball on a monday night
at stewarton sports centre between
9-10pm. All ages, all abilities, all
keen.
Don't worry if you can't remember
your wing attack from your goal
attack or your bounce pass from
your penalty pass we'll sort you
out, and what's more we'll even
provide you with a cool bib to
wear! So if you fancy a good
workout, a bit of banter and the
chance to play in a team sport
once again, get in touch. You don't
have to have any special kit and we
rotate positions so everyone gets a
chance to try out different skills.
All you need is £4 a week, and
some water... we've been known to
get hot and sweaty! Anyone with
any coaching or refereeing skills
also most welcome - just to keep
us right!
For more information contact Sharon email : [email protected]
or Angela on 07789 997 854. Like us on Facebook at Stewarton Ladies
Netball or just show up on the night - we'd love to see you, it's great fun!"
SWAT would like to thank all
those who supported the table
top sale held in the Centre,
standalane, on Saturday 12th
October.
The main task in the last few
months has been trying to tackle
the ever advancing Japanese
Knotweed, which can now be
found in many areas of the town.
Two members of SWAT have
been trained in dealing with
this very invasive species, and
particular thanks go to David
MacKenzie who has spent many,
many hours of his time, free
of charge, trying to tackle the
problem.
SWAT would also like to thank
all the local businesses who have
been kind enough to lend their
support by taking advertising
space on the annual calendar,
and in particular, Sainsburys,
who are lending their support for
the coming months, by adopting
SWAT as their Local Charity.
2014 sees the 10th Anniversary
for SWAT, and to mark the
occasion, they are hoping to hold
a Scottish themed evening one
Saturday in March, so look out
for more details at the start of the
year, and make it a date on your
(SWAT) calendar!
Anyone who would like to lend a hand with the work SWAT does, can
find more information on the website www.stewartonwoodlands.co.uk
or can email [email protected] and ask for more details.
