The Chloe Hume Foundation Christmas Extravaganza will take place on Saturday 21st November at Stewarton Area Centre. ‘It feels like the right time to start building on our success’, Paula Hume, the Foundations Chairman and spokesperson told us, ‘It’s five years since Chloe left us and she would want us to do more for the community so it only seems right that we introduce a Christmas show as our next event – she loved Christmas’. The event will be a showcase of the areas young talent with a Christmas theme. ‘We thought the date would be a good starting point for the countdown to Christmas and what better way to start this than with a great family show? If it is a success we can make it a regular event on Stewarton's calendar! The Foundation has invited some of their favourite acts to perform and the audience can expect music, comedy and a good old fashioned Christmas sing song to bring in the festive season. The posters for the show will be placed around the town from mid-October. Tickets will be available from Annick Art in Avenue Square from 1st October (£5.00/£4.00 Concessions) and tickets can also be purchased at the door on the night of the show – it is expected to be a sell-out. There will be a tuck shop provided for the interval and a programme will be available to purchase on the night. The Chloe Hume Foundation is a charitable organisation set up in memory of Chloe who died suddenly from an undiagnosed benign brain tumour in October 2010. It is committed to providing music and drama opportunities for children to the benefit of the community. The foundation is hoping to set up a childrens community choir to perform at local events and locations and also to compete in choir competitions, ‘We are looking for volunteers to help us set up and organise the choir – music teachers, retired music teachers or singers who can donate a couple of hours of their time every week on a regular basis during term time.’ Any potential volunteers can contact us by email at [email protected]. albaREND INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR RENDER SPECIALISTS t he chloe hu m e fou n dat i on tal e n t show held on 13 t h ju ne was a resou n di n g su cces s. t he q ual it y of a ll t he act s who took to the stage wa s so hi gh t hat t he jud ge s had to i n t rodu ce a n e x t r a p r iz e and af t er a post - show di sc u s sion the fou n dat i on have agreed to ad d e ve n m ore p ri zes for n e x t y e ar s show!
