The attendees to these meetings have formed a Steering Group, to take the Project forward. The aim of the Action Plan is to: • Provide an opportunity for all the interested parties to come together to think about, influence and then plan the future for Stewarton. • Generate more involvement in the Community from local residents, organisations, businesses, voluntary and community groups, and sports clubs. • Provide a process for local democracy and active citizenship within the Community. • Enable Community involvement in the creation of a Plan for Stewarton. • Provide a long-term plan to support funding applications for priority projects within the Town. The first step is a comprehensive community survey to determine the key issues and priorities for every resident, trader, club and association within Stewarton. This Community Views Survey is in the form of a questionnaire to be delivered to all the households, traders, businesses and community the completed surveys will provide information to complete a report covering: community facts and figures community likes community dislikes a vision for the future main strategies and priorities an action plan look out for the survey questionnaire, and please take advantage of this opportunity to have your say about the future of stewarton groups by a team of volunteers organised by the Steering Group. It is important that everybody receiving a questionnaire participates in the survey. It is hoped that the volunteers will be able to make a return visit, about 10 days after delivery, to help with this process and collect the completed form. Alternatively, there will be an opportunity to return the questionnaire to several of the shops within the Town, or to complete the survey online at: www.surveymonkey.com/r/stewartonsurvey In the meantime, if you require any further information please
