Nether Robertland Parents' Association are holding a Summer Gala
day on Sunday 31st May from 12-3pm. The countdown is on to the big
day and what a day it's going to be! They will be celebrating the success
of their Stay and Play fundraising campaign, which over the last 2 years
has raised £17,051 toward outdoor improvements and secure a further
£24,400 in grants. The PA would like to extend a massive thank you to
everyone for their support in this project - they are delighted and feel
lucky to have such a strong support from both parents and the wider
community in Stewarton.
natural play area - where the kids can den build, climb and have as
much fun as their imagination allows! They can play on the brand
new trim trail and have a wander round the gardens. Mr Oliver has
been invited to cut the ribbon and their extra special guest Robbie
Robertland will help him with this. Robbie will also do some
storytelling sessions with the wee ones throughout the afternoon.
On the big day, there will be bouncy castles, an inflatable assault course,
bungee run and a giant slide as well as 'beat the goalie', a mobile
skateboarding park and archery! Wristbands will be on sale for all of
these - pay once and stay and play all day.
The children are busy filling planters and pots which will make
wonderful additions to any garden and will be on sale on a first come
first served basis. These are expected to be popular so don't miss out.
There will also be a vote on the day for the winning badge design for
Nether Robertland's outdoor learning and the culmination of the
School photography competition.
In the gym hall, there will be a full programme of events and they're
all FREE! There will be displays and taster sessions from local
community groups - JAM St School of dance, senjokai karate, Leigh
Carroll Zumba, Fitzpatrick highland dancing and Stewarton Academy
basketball team. The active schools team will do various sessions with
the kids all day.
And if all that wasn't enough, there will also be mini makeovers and
face painting! Hot food, drinks and refreshments will all be on sale and
there will be a selection of stalls for you to try your luck at!
Do not miss this fab community event - spread the word far and wide!
All we need now is the SUN!

The day will see the Parents' Association officially launch the new
Kirsty's Kritters are bringing tortoises, cockroaches, corn snakes,
pythons, tarantulas and lizards. The mounted police are coming and the
community police are popping along too.
