Stewarton Woodlands Action Trusts AGM will be held on Monday 30th March at 7.30pm, in the John Knox Church Hall or Cottage, and we would like to see some new faces there. Should that happen, we will have an Open Meeting following on from the AGM, when those present can put forward ideas and suggestions for new projects to be carried out by the group. Our main function in the 10 years that the group has been going, has been to plant thousands of young trees, and to provide a good network of paths in the Stewarton area. These paths are now very well used by many people, most of whom are aware of the importance of work carried out by SWAT. Thanks to the staff at the Review, our local Sainsburys, local businesses who have supported us by advertising on our annual calendar, and the use of social media, the profile of SWAT has been raised over the years, but we could still do with more members to keep the momentum going. It is our intention to start a monthly email newsletter, so anyone who is interested in being kept informed and who would be willing to give a hand now and again when necessary, should email us at [email protected] and we’ll add you to the mailing list. Regular posts are also made on our Facebook page. Here’s to Spring! mini tots, max fun! St Columba’s Nursery is a Partner / Provider Nursery that offers funded places for 3 and 4 year olds. Registration for next year will take place in the last week of February. The Nursery is also starting a new group:  St Columba’s Minis. This will be for children aged from 2 and a half and will offer an introduction to the Nursery environment, with lots of opportunities for play and a chance to make friends. It will be run by experienced Early Years Practitioners and will operate on a Monday and Friday afternoon. Anybody interested in booking a place for their child can call 07974 410353 or contact them through St Columba’s Nursery Facebook Page.
