Church raises £5,000 for flood victims
John Knox Church has long had
an association with Malawi and
have raised many thousands of
pounds for local hospitals, schools
and colleges over the years.
Recent flooding in Malawi has left more than

The church decided to try and help and held a
coffee morning with a ‘Rabbie Burns’ theme at
the end of January.
Stewarton folk gave great support and more
than £2,000 was raised on the day. Partnering
with medical charity EMMS International’s
emergency flood appeal, the amount has
been doubled to £5,000 through the UK
government’s matching initiative for aid
projects.
