Back in the summer, The Review
ran a story about 61 year old
Stewarton man Steve Taylor
who’s attempting to cycle 25,000
miles to and from his work in
Glasgow in aid of the NCCA
UK, which supports research and
offers family support for children
suffering from the childhood
cancer neuroblastoma.
Since our last edition, Steve
has been pedaling hard up and
down the A77 and in the middle
of October completed the first
10,000 miles of his challenge. The
long summer days allowed Steve
to rack up a lot of miles and for
the most part he was averaging
well over 200 miles a week in
pursuit of his goal: and all of that
on top of a full time job at an
engineering factory on the south
side of the city.
Steve’s schedule is geared towards
passing halfway early in 2015 and
if all goes according to plan, he
should reach his target sometime
late in 2016.
You can follow Steve’s exploits at www.lifecycleforneuroblastoma.com or
by joining the LifeCycleForNeuroblastoma group on Facebook.
