Letter of the Quarter
The Lime Kilns have been a big part of my family’s childhood. Our
farm fields bordered the kilns and as children we played there
often. It was also a great place for finding fossils. When a friend
from the Stewarton Historical Society told me they were doing an
archeological dig, followed by the demolishing of the kilns I was
very sad. I took photos of the kilns newly dug out and posted them
