For years John served the community in so many roles, He was the local postie, local lollypop man, justice of the peace and a member of the community council to name just a few. He was even known for his impressive talent of beating most the town at snooker and he only had one functioning eye. Sadly John passed away at the end of January this year. The chapel had only standing space available and the cemetery was packed to say goodbye to the beloved community man who will be sorely missed. John was a massive community man but also a family man who adored his grandkids. The family would like to thank everyone for all their support over the difficult time and for the turn out and support on the day of the funeral. I would also like to personally thank the Facebook page ‘Stewarton When We Were Growing Up’ for sharing all the information and for everyone on the page who passed on their kind words and brilliant memories of my pops.
