1 STEWARTON BOYS’ BRIGADE

Our session is now well under
way in all Sections. Our overall
numbers sit this year at 125 which
is an incredible number with 60
of those in the Anchor Section.
A positive start to the year with
a loyal and enthusiastic bunch
of boys supported by equally
enthusiastic staff and parents.
Our Anchors have taken part in
Battalion visit to Ayr Beach Park,
a dressing up theme morning with
a few Companies from the rest
of the Battalion. We have had a
varied programme of games, crafts
etc. to make sure all interests
are taken into account. Recently
they formed a Remembrance
Wreath which consisted of red
card shaped hands with each
of the Anchor Boys names
forming a Remembrance
Wreath - turned our really well
and is now up on our notice
board in the Church Hall.
Our Juniors have been busy not
only with our Company activities
but also joint activities with the
Battalion. This includes beach
football, ten pin, treasure hunt,
an overnight stay (watched
Scotland v England match),
cooking competition, swimming
gala, athletics and a crafts night.
Wed also spent a bit of time with
Stewarton Fire Brigade who
demonstrated a chip pan fire.
Towers, Scotland v Lithuania,
Curling, Adventure Golf and
a visit to Hampden Stadium
and Museum tour. We also
participated in National
badminton, chess and 5-A-Side.
Our Company and Seniors have
had a busy and quick start to
session too. A visit to Alton
Towers, swimming gala
and Athletics
along with
the Juniors, a
visit to Airsoft
in Mauchline,
a climbing,
dodge ball event
at Dumfries
House, Alton
Looking forward to a busy
and successful session ahead.

Advance notice that we will
be delivering Christmas
Cards again, full details will
follow soon, but the event
will be during the weekend
of 9th - 12th December.
