Over the summer our Anchors and Juniors went their Annual outing to the 5 Sister Zoo in West Calder - A great wee day enjoyed by the 55 boys and staff who attended. In late May some of our Seniors attended the Lord High Commissioner Guard of Honour in Edinburgh with other boys from across Scotland. Great experience for the boys and there were surprisingly no complaints about the 7am departure on a Sunday morning! On 17th May 2016, 6 of our Seniors attended a Civic Reception where we joined boys and parents from the rest of the Battalion for a presentation of a Battalion Certificate with both the Deputy Provost John Campbell and Lord Lieutenant John Duncan in attendance. in Ardeonaig, Near Killin in Perthsire where 16 boys and 5 staff enjoyed a long weekend in the Adventure Centre. The activities included Treezone (On journey to the centre), High ropes, Gorge Walking, Canoeing, orienteering and archery. All Section came together to provide a Guard of Honour for two of our staff who got married over the summer. Kris and Abbie got married on 8th July in Kilmaurs and it was good to see boys form all sections there to help them in their Celebrations by being the Guard of Honour. We look forward to a busy and productive session and would also welcome new recruits to all sections, contact W.
