Netball Event a Huge Success for Stewarton Ladies Netball
A message from the team ...
What an amazing start Play on the Pitch on Saturday 4th June was to our fundraising campaign for the Ayrshire Hospice , Scottish Disability Sport and Scottish Autism ! Initial estimates indicate almost £ 11,000 was made on the day - astounding and completely surpassing expectations ! Thank you , thank you , thank you !
Huge thanks to all the participating teams for all their support and energy , fantastic team - play and skills , donations and goodwill ! We definitely couldn ' t have done it without you ! To every single volunteer , umpire , scorer , first aider and court official - your efforts helped the tournament run so smoothly and we were extremely lucky to have their help .
Congratulations to the winning teams and runners up : League Cup Winners - St Andrews Sapphire Diamonds , League Cup Runners Up – Ayr , Bounce Back Cup Winners - La Frew , Bounce Back Cup Runners Up – Kinross , Plate League Winners - Dumbarton Harps 1 , Plate Runners Up – Shortlees , Plate Bounce Back Winners - Stirling 2 , Plate Runners Up - Bonnet Braves 2 . Impressive play all round ! Thanks too , to Provost Jim Todd for presenting the teams with their prizes .
To the staff at Kilmarnock FC and the Park Hotel - especially Paul , Mark and their teams for giving so much of their time and expertise - hugely appreciated . Robbie Duncan and Solid State for keeping us entertained throughout the evening ! To Ryan McDougall for being our official photographer and filmmaker on the day , thank you . Johnnie Wallace thank you for making our signage and Martin Boyle for creating our advertising . To Dave McPhail ( the man on the hooter !) and Graeme Pringle master timekeeper and scorekeeper - sterling job all round !
