We had a fantastic turnout at the Christmas Eve All-Age Celebration and also on Christmas Day at the joint Service where the children displayed some of their presents and the Ministers tried to connect these to the Christmas story. On Christmas Eve, we collected £325.96 (including Gift Aid) for United Missions to Nepal with whom our Mission Partner Joel Githinji works and at the joint Service on Christmas Day £287.04 for the Scottish Refugee Council. At the Joint Watchnight Service on Christmas Eve in John Knox Church, the offering came to £687 of which one third went to Stewarton Academy Band and the remainder went to the Scottish Refugee Council. In the run-up to Christmas, the children and congregation took part in two annual Appeals. They filled 90 Christmas shoe-boxes for the Blythswood Care Appeal and these were all sent to Eastern Europe in time for Christmas. They also produced 69 parcels for East Ayrshire Churches Homeless Action Appeal. The Minister led the now* annual “Light up a Life” Service in Church on the Sunday afternoon before Christmas. This helped many people whose bereavement issues at that time of the year are difficult to handle. 15% off cut & colour *terms & conditions apply headquarters Hairdressing Salon At Headquarters we love Hairdressing and we want you to love it too.
