Imagine a great guy giving up time with his family to selflessly help others out in their time of need... enter the ‘snow angel’ of stewarton! Local businessman Grant Chalmers decided to answer the pleas of locals on Facebook and ‘roll’ into town. He assisted with local residents who were unable to get out of their street due to the snowfall that left the town gridlocked. Grant who has customised his quads to handle the bad weather, attended several estates and with his partner in crime Barry Sutherland (another local businessman who was more than happy to help) proceeded to plough streets, grit paths, help stranded cars and clear driveways. The Review had to catch up with Grant, (lucky enough he wasn’t on a quad) to discuss his act of kindness and we feel it’s only right that we help promote his local business ‘Quad Bike Tyres’. Visit their website www.quadbiketyres.co.uk Grant told The Review, “It would be a great addition to the town if the council could look into the use of ATV’s for such tasks as safety is paramount” Father-of-three Grant spent hours helping others and understands how hard it can be for the council to cover all areas so decided to assist and what a great response he has had via social media.
