Farmer’s Nightmare
swat (stewarton woodlands action trust) has been
asked by two local farmers, to help make the public
more aware of their responsibilities when out walking
their dogs. in recent months, one farmer has lost
two valuable calves, and the other has had two sheep
killed and two seriously injured, and they are in no
doubt that these deaths and injuries have been caused
by dogs who have been allowed to run into the
fields. the areas most affected, are on either side of
anderson’s mount, the stretch of path which goes from
the water treatment works, and over the hill out to
the kilwinning road.
