Spring 2016 Go to National Convention! If you’re reading this, you’re probably familiar with OJCL State Convention. But what if I told you that there is an event, similar to state convention, but bigger, longer, and better? Ladies and Gents, I would like to take this opportunity to personally invite you to the 2016 National Junior Classical League convention at Indiana University. This will be my third National Convention, and I loved my other two Nationals experiences. But you may be asking yourself, what makes Nationals so great? opportunities that are exclusive to Nationals. From Ludi and Olympika, to dances almost every night, to even more cool test options (like Hellenic History and Classical Greek), there are so many amazing opportunities for you to have an absolutely amazing time. So, OJCL, if you can, please sign up for National Convention this summer. It’s an opportunity you won’t want to miss. First of all, Nationals is almost a full week long (July 25th-July 30th). Imagine all of the best parts of convention, but stretched out to fill a whole week. Second, Nationals gives you the opportunity to meet so many classicists from across the country. I have friends from Georgia, Massachusetts, Virginia, and so many more states because of National Convention. You also get the chance to build deeper bonds with Ohio JCLers. Rather than competing against each other, all of Ohio works together and makes up one giant team.
