to ensure sustainability and we encourage investors to look at rental income,
not just capital growth.
Deciding whether leveraging is the right strategy depends almost completely
on the borrower. Investors need to understand and be clear about their
appetite for risk before using leveraging as a growth strategy. At Shawbrook,
we believe that as long as this strategy suits the client, and they are
experienced enough to manage the risk, it can be a useful and sustainable
borrowing tool.
