The pass rate was 100 % at A level with 36 % of grades at A */ A or Distinction * and 69 % ersity applicants have headed off to universities both near and far including ; Oxford , Birmingham , Leeds , Hull , am , Lincoln and Newcastle Universities to name but a few . Students have gained places on the most competitive untry with 2 students heading off to study Medicine and one off to study Dentistry . Students from Year 13 have sue exciting Higher Level Apprenticeship opportunities including placements with BT , the Police and the NHS .

Sixth Form Film Night
On the 6th October , students organised a film night for Year 12 and 13 , this was very well attended with popcorn flowing throughout the Students ’ Common Room whilst watching , ‘ We ’ re the Millers ’. The evening was a great success and can hopefully be repeated later in the school year .
Charity Events e Morning Success new Charity Committee got nd raising efforts off to a rb start by organising the of enormous numbers of s and cups of coffee on y 30th September . Stus and staff raised £ 336.00 of Macmillan Cancer Care gh the event .
Halloween Disco The Charity Committee have now begun planning their next fund raiser which will be a Year 7 Halloween Disco on 20th October . Money raised will go to the Children ’ s Brain Tumour Research Centre at The University of Nottingham .

Children in Need The Charity Committee is also already planning for the Children in Need Day on Friday 18th November and are hoping to beat last year ’ s total raised of £ 2,140.00 .
Dressing up and supporting Children in Need has become something of a tradition in the Kimberley Sixth Form and we look forward to reporting on the event in our next Newsletter .
