“ I got exactly
my predicted
grades and
it’s just what
I wanted ”
Alicia Martin-Jones, pictured above, celebrates gaining 3A* and 1 A grade in
her A levels. She has gone off to study medicine at Birmingham University.
Results Day
It was a great summer for our Sixth Form
with the best ever A
Level results. Almost
20% of the grades
were A* or A grades
and the pass rate
was 99.5%. Year 13
University applicants
have headed off to
universities both near
and far; Bristol, Nottingham, York, Manchester, Sheffield, Bangor,
London, Bath, Aberdeen, Loughborough,
Lincoln, Birmingham
and Leeds to name
but a few. A number
of other successful
students have now
started on apprenticeships in; Accountancy, Furniture making
and Engineering. We
wish all of our Year
13 leavers well and
look forward to hearing from them and
receiving updates on
their future progress.

time in getting
stuck into the
new school term, with a very hard
working, enthusiastic new Year
12 cohort fitting in well with our
Year 13 students, who are keen to
welcome them in.
Y13 Information Video
(which can be viewed above)
involving Year 13 students giving
information that they would like to
have known when they began in
Year 12. Mrs Livings and a group
of Year 13s then spoke about how
to succeed and make the most of
the time in the Sixth Form.
