well as say hello to some new enthusiastic
members. We are really looking forward to pushing
your ideas as far as we can and to improve on the
successes we achieved last year. Please take a
moment to familiarise yourself with our members
and make sure you collar them if you have an

Cycle Safe - Campaign
With the nights drawing in, we want to ensure
The Kimberley School students are taking every
measure to keep themselves and others safe when
cycling to and from school. In order to promote this,
we have started a cycle safe campaign which will be
launched in the coming weeks. We recruited some
high profile models from within the school to
support the campaign, so look out for posters of the
keen cyclists amongst the teaching staff….like this
one of Mr Clegg. The image may bring some
laughs but the message couldn’t be more serious.
Please make sure you stay as visible and
courteous as possible when out on your bikes and
ensure that you #cyclesafe.
With the centenary commemoration of the outbreak of the
First World War upon us, we wanted to show our
respect for those who were involved and decided
to run a competition to redesign our school badge.
The competition was fierce and we have had to
filter down hundreds of high quality entries to a
select few finalists. These have now been passed
on to Mr Teal and The Governors who will cast
their votes and have the final say on our new
school logo, which will be seen on letterheads and
the school website. Thank you for all your creative
entries and watch this space, as the winner will be
announced before half term.
Do you walk to school
from Larkfields?
Do you remember the days
of climbing through the railings?
Not any longer! All thanks to The
Kimberley School Student Council.
Brogan Butler (Year 11), first raised
it as an issue. She worked alongside
the student council to meet with the
local councillors to campaign for an
opening to allow easy access.
After months of meetings, petitions and photographic evidence, common sense prevailed and
the railings have been opened up to allow easy access for pedestrians, pushchairs and wheelchairs.
If you need help to get a good idea off
the ground – get in touch with
Kimberley Student Council.
