We returned to the centre of town for lunch and visited together the Street of Human Rights with its striking gateway and collection of columns running down the middle of the road, a tribute to the 1948 Declaration of Human Rights. Nuremberg has done so much to reinvent itself and become a champion of Justice in the modern world. Adjacent to this is the Germanisches Nationalmuseum and some students took the chance to visit this too (click here for more info). After our evening meal, we walked to Germany’s largest cinema complex, CineCitta, for buckets of popcorn, soft drinks and fruit cocktails…and the much vaunted film, The Revenant. Reaction to the film was largely positive. It certainly exercised the full range of hi-tech gadgetry in this most modern of cinemas.
