GRAND TOTAL RAISED: £ 2 6 9 8 ! The Sixth Formers threw themselves into the organisation and running of the Children In Need Day on 18th November. The atmosphere within school was amazing with Sixth Formers and staff in fancy dress costumes. A number of stalls and activities took place including; ‘Guess the name of the bear’, ‘Guess the number of sweets in the jar’, face painting, ‘Guess teachers from photographs when they were younger’, a lucky dip, wet sponge throwing at the teachers, a Sixth Form versus staff football match, filling Pudsey with coins and cake, sweet and a hot dog stalls. The Nurture Group managed to raise £23 by baking and selling delicious apple crumbles. There was also an open mic concert in the gym where a number of very talented students from all years performed. All these stalls, plus the donations by students who paid to wear their own non-uniform clothes for the day, went towards raising a grand total of over £2698 which is the most we have ever raised. One of our Year 12 students, Anna Walster very bravely completed a sky dive in aid of Children In Need and has raised over £500 through this which she has put towards the school’s total.
